For twenty-five years, Pacific Air Cargo has connected communities across the Pacific, guided by the vision of its founder, Beti Ward, and carried forward by the dedication of every team member who believed in that dream. What began humbly — with just twenty employees working out of a parking lot in the Honolulu heat — has grown into a trusted, world-class air freight carrier serving Hawai‘i, Los Angeles, American Samoa, Guam and beyond.
“Our story started with a vision,” recalls Tanja, President and CEO of Pacific Air Cargo. “Beti saw the need for a reliable, people-driven air freight company that would treat customers and employees like family.”
That sense of family remains the foundation of Pacific Air Cargo’s success. Many employees have been with the company for decades, building not just a career but lifelong friendships. “This is my family away from home,” one team member shares. “We’ve grown together — through challenges, milestones, and memories.”
Even as the company has expanded its network, facilities, and service reach, its culture has remained steadfastly personal. Whether managing complex logistics or mentoring the next generation of aviation professionals, every employee takes pride in upholding the values Beti instilled — hard work, integrity, and community.
“When we lost Beti, we made a promise to keep her legacy alive,” Tanja reflects. “That’s what drives us every day — honoring where we came from and building toward what’s next.”
For the team, every day still feels like a new adventure. From sunrise shifts at the airport to late-night flights under glowing tarmac lights, there’s a shared sense of purpose — moving the cargo that carries people’s dreams, livelihoods, and connections across the Pacific.
As Pacific Air Cargo celebrates this milestone, the message is clear: the heart of the company is its people. “These employees are the reason we’re here 25 years later,” Tanja says proudly. “None of this would be possible without their dedication and teamwork.”
