Get a Better Deal with Pacific Air Cargo

You might want to reconsider how you're shipping what these days. With airline fuel charges causing passenger airlines to add on high baggage fees to handle their customers' sports gear, surfers and golfers have found a better way to send their equipment when traveling by air.

Pacific Air Cargo invites sports enthusiasts to "Drive your surfboard or your golf clubs right up to our front door at Los Angeles or Honolulu International Airport before you board your passenger flight. You hand it to us, we handle it with care, and it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg," says Pacific Air Cargo Vice President Tanja Janfruechte.

Janfruechte, who works out of the LAX office, says Pacific Air Cargo's rates are highly competitive, their offices are very close to the passenger airline terminals, and they can be a cost savings on shipping "everything precious--from cars to sports gear, to pets." Convenience, careful handling, and a real cost savings are what the customer can expect to receive. On the average, shippers can expect to save up to 55% over what the airlines are charging to transport surfboards and golf clubs.

"We're able to give our customers a better rate because air cargo is what we do," says CEO/President Beti Ward. The airlines are charging for the extra handling and customer service the sports gear entails. Pacific Air Cargo considers this a regular business expense. "We don't charge extra for this—this is our business model," says Ward.

To make it even more convenient for the surfer and golfer, Pacific Air Cargo flies to and from many of the best known surfing and golfing vacation spots: Los Angeles, Honolulu, Kona and Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii, Lihue on Kauai, and Kahului on Maui. Interested travelers are invited to call 310/645-2178 in Los Angeles; 808/834-7977 in Honolulu or go to PacificAirCargo.com for more information.

Pacific Air Cargo is located at 111 Ke`ehi Place on the corner of Lagoon Drive at Honolulu International Airport and at Los Angeles International Airport at 5761 W. Imperial Highway. Ward founded Pacific Air Cargo LLC in 2000 to provide air cargo service to Hawaii and the Pacific Islands. The company's mission is to be the choice cargo carrier in the Pacific region.
