HONOLULU, HI, OCTOBER 2009: Pacific Air Cargo (PacAir) has introduced a new inter-island air freight service from Honolulu. Dubbed Pacific Air Express, the new venture will initially offer air freight service to and from Maui and Molokai, with plans to expand service from Honolulu to other islands in the near future.
Pacific Air Express will begin service to and from Maui and Molokai on October 12 and will utilize a Cessna Caravan aircraft, provided by Makani Kai, with 3000 pounds of cargo lift. The new service operates Monday through Friday, and will complement and enhance PacAir's regular 747 freight service to and from LAX. This service will now operate 5 days a week, Tuesday through Saturday, with additional service to Kona on Friday.
According to Pacific Air Cargo CEO, Beti Ward, “Pacific Air Express is the natural extension of Pacific Air Cargo’s commitment to servicing Hawaii’s air cargo needs. The new inter-island connections will offer both individuals and businesses greater choice and flexibility for shipping.” She added, “With the support of our customers and the people of Hawaii, we look forward to expanding this service to all the major islands very soon.”
