Three months after launching, interisland cargo carrier Pacific Air Express has added aircraft and is expanding routes.
The Honolulu-based carrier now has three Cessna Caravan Cargomasters that can hold up to 3,000 pounds each.
And, by the end of this month, Pacific Air Express expects to add routes from Honolulu to Lihue on Kauai and Hilo on the Big Island to complement existing routes serving Kahului and Kona.
Its a niche operation, said Richard Schuman, owner of Pacific Air Express. Im satisfied with serving 10 to 20 customers who need to get fish, flowers and fresh produce to another island overnight.
